Deck repair/replacement

The exterior of this deck was in extremely rough shape and the homeowner wanted to modernize and clean up the design. The posts were not attached properly to support beams, and were lacking in strength, size and number. 2 rows of 3 6"x6" posts were concreted in to support 2 new double 2x10 beams to support the framework of the deck.

The ledger board on the house and the actual deck framing itself was still in great shape and sitting level. We were able to save a lot of time, money, and material by retrofitting the posts and beams to the existing framing and then replacing the deck boards, handrails, pickets, and rebuilding a staircase.

This project turned out beautifully and we were able to save the client a few thousand dollars. We always go for the win-wins!
